About our group:

The Sputter Control Build Operations team is responsible for servicing and delivering control build assemblies used in sputter machines. The team operates on a fixed 12‑hour shift schedule and consists of a Team Leader supported by several Engineering Specialist. Together, the team performs assembly rebuilds, disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, QA buy‑off, and delivery of completed assemblies to production lines.

About the role - you will:
  • Perform sputter assembly rebuilds according to approved procedures to support daily line operations.
  • Conduct overhaul maintenance on sputter assemblies to prevent premature failures and ensure performance reliability.
  • Carry out inventory checks and proper accounting of all components used in sputter assemblies.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers to perform failure analysis and drive improvements to reduce failure rates and enhance assembly robustness.
  • Maintain proper documentation, tracking, and reporting of failure components in accordance with required procedures.
  • Participate in cross‑functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives with relevant stakeholders.

Your experience includes:
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or Diploma or ITE
  • Troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Rebuild and assembly work, with strong adherence to procedures and standards.
  • Tracking and documentation of evaluations, failures, and phase‑in activities.

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations.
