Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Develops the Site Master Plan in consultation with site stakeholders
  • Develops the site Capital Plan and point of liaison with Capital Business Office (Regional and Division Engineering)
  • Lead all plant shutdown activities in full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements
  • Coordinates the site project management process, from inception and funding approval to commissioning and handover to area owners
  • Manages engineering documentation control and archival for the site.
  • Ensure the execution of the capital projects on processes, equipment, plant facilities are compliance with the Safety and GMP policies, procedures, standards and statutory requirement.
  • Ensure manufacturing production requirements are met in terms of project engineering activities.
  • Ensure the Projects are met within the approved budget.
  • Ensure all planned projects are met the timeline and cost.
  • Ensure that all projects meet Capital and Expense Accuracy LBE forecast
  • Works closely with Finance Director on all project matters pertaining to government grants
  • Work closely with Engineering Services Director and HR on recruitment, hiring, trainings, people development and retention.
  • May act as delegate for Engineering Services Director
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for managing the overall projects related to Manufacturing Equipment/ design while ensuring the highest levels of quality
  • Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
  • Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment and personnel in producing quality products at an effective operating cost.
  • Responsible for Compliance relating to engineering quality documentation and audits closures.
  • Manage the overall projects budget and expenses to ensure prudent usage.
  • Oversee vendor/supplier performance to ensure project equipment are delivered according to plans or contracts .
  • Review viability of solutions that require new capital investments.
  • Deliver reports on engineering project activities and achievement objectives to senior management .
  • Negotiate supplier and vendor contracts to secure terms that are in the organisation's best interest.
  • Collaborate across all departments to ensure project engineering activities minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules and day-to-day maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Engineering, Division Capital Projects office and other division subject matter experts to ensure projects meet time line, cost and design and quality standards.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical or in related discipline or Diploma with minimum of 10 years of experience .
  • More than 5 years of related experience and 2 years in management situation. Knowledge in SAP system/ CMMS/ CCMS/ Project Management skills.
  • Continuous challenge and improvement current operations.
  • Organized and good team player, able to multi-task and work under pressure
