Job description
1. Site Supervision & Execution
  • Supervise electrical installation works (LV/MV systems, lighting, power, earthing, lightning protection)

  • Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, and method statements

  • Coordinate daily work activities of electricians and subcontractors

  • Allocate manpower and tools efficiently

  • Monitor work progress to meet project schedules

2. Quality Control
  • Ensure electrical works comply with codes and standards (IEC, BS, NEC, local authority rules)

  • Conduct inspections for:

    • Cable containment (tray, trunking, conduit)

    • Cable pulling and termination

    • Panel installation (MDB, SMDB, DB)

  • Rectify non‑conformance issues (NCRs)

  • Maintain quality checklists and inspection records

3. Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce HSE / safety regulations on site

  • Ensure workers use proper PPE

  • Conduct toolbox talks related to electrical safety

  • Identify and control electrical hazards

  • Ensure lock‑out/tag‑out procedures are followed

  • Stop unsafe work when necessary

4. Testing & Commissioning
  • Supervise electrical testing such as:

    • Insulation Resistance (IR) tests

    • Continuity tests

    • Earth resistance tests

    • Functional testing of systems

  • Assist in commissioning of electrical systems

  • Coordinate with consultants and clients during inspections

  • Ensure defects are rectified before handover

5. Coordination with Other Trades
  • Coordinate electrical works with:

    • Mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)

    • Civil and architectural teams

  • Resolve site clashes and access issues

  • Attend coordination and progress meetings

6. Material Management
  • Request materials according to work schedule

  • Check delivered materials for quality and quantity

  • Ensure proper storage and handling of electrical materials

  • Control material wastage

7. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain daily site reports

  • Record manpower, work progress, and issues

  • Assist in preparing as-built drawings

  • Submit inspection and test reports

  • Support handover documentation

8. Authority & Consultant Liaison
  • Assist during inspections by:

    • Consultants

    • Local authorities

    • Utility providers

  • Ensure all comments are closed before approvals

9. Maintenance (if applicable)
  • Supervise preventive and corrective electrical maintenance

  • Troubleshoot electrical faults

  • Ensure minimum downtime of systems

10. Leadership & Training
  • Guide and train junior electricians

  • Enforce discipline and productivity

  • Evaluate worker performance
