Job summary

A leading firm in EHS management in Singapore seeks a dedicated professional to lead and embed EHS standards across regional projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience, along with certifications in OSHA. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders. The role involves implementing EHS management systems and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 10 years of relevant EHS experience in construction or engineering.
  • Certified in OSHA 30-Hour Construction or OSHA 500; CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or SHEP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EHS Management Systems, audits, and compliance reporting.

Job description
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and embed EHS standards across regional projects and offices.
  • Implement and maintain the EHS Management System in alignment with corporate and legal requirements.
  • Partner with management to set, monitor, and achieve EHS goals and KPIs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, review method statements, and establish site-specific safety plans.
  • Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
  • Lead or support incident investigations to ensure effective root cause analysis and follow-up actions.
  • Engage with contractors, clients, and authorities to ensure compliance with local EHS regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate EHS documentation and report findings through established systems.
  • Facilitate EHS training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Communicate updates on applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by empowering employees to stop unsafe work conditions.
  • Ensure emergency preparedness and conduct drills as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field, or at least 10 years of relevant EHS experience in construction or engineering.
  • Certified in OSHA 30-Hour Construction or OSHA 500; CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or SHEP preferred.
  • Strong understanding of EHS Management Systems, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Trained in incident investigation methods such as TapRooT® or 5 Whys.
  • Excellent command of English; fluency in another Asian language (e.g. Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Korean, Japanese, or Filipino) is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage EHS programs across multiple sites and work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally for site support and audits.
