About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director to lead the ECO business unit of the Gain City group of companies.

In this role, you will be responsible establishing and managing end-to-end operations for a scalable and compliant e-waste collection and recycling business. You will lead the design and implementation of operational processes and ensure full compliance with regulations. You will recruit, train and lead a high-performing team to carry out efficient collection, dismantling and disposal of e-waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Be familiar with the EPR Scheme for E-waste, including relevant obligations
• Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, statutory requirements and internal SOPs
• Design, implement and manage a scalable and sustainable business model for the collection and recycling of e-waste
• Lead contract negotiations and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of collectors and operations personnel to ensure effective and efficient operations
• Review existing processes and organisational structures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation and enhanced business partnering
• Explore and evaluate diversification opportunities, including, but not limited to scrap metal, food waste and other recyclable materials

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in e-waste management
• Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• In-depth knowledge of regulations and statutory compliance
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvements
• Strong experience in cost management and leading efficiency initiatives
