Job description

The Donor Relationship Assistant Manager / Manager (RM) serves as the key point of contact for our community of Donor‑Advised Fund (DAF) holders. This role builds trusted relationships, ensures a seamless donor experience, and helps donors translate their philanthropic intentions into meaningful impact.

Asia Community Foundation (ACF) is the first Asia‑wide platform for collaborative and strategic giving. We enable donors to pool resources, co‑create solutions, and drive positive social and environmental impact across the region. As we expand our donor base and manage a growing portfolio of donor‑advised funds (DAFs), impact funds, and bespoke giving vehicles, we are strengthening our financial leadership to steward philanthropic capital with the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and impact.

Established in 2022 by a group of philanthropists from Asia Philanthropy Circle, ACF was born out of the pressingneed for a regional platform to facilitate cross‑border giving in Asia. Our mission is to promote purposeful giving in Asia by connecting donors and nonprofits to achieve greater results than they could on their own. As a community, we believe that we can create positive change and address some of the most pressing socioeconomic and environmental issues facing Asia today.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding for all new DAF holders, working closely with the rest of the Development and Engagement team to ensure proper setup and documentation of each fund.
  • Act as the day‑to‑day liaison for donor queries, grant requests, and general support.
  • Build a deep understanding of each donor’s interests, giving patterns, and philanthropic goals.
  • Prepare donor‑facing summaries, grant histories, and tailored updates in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
  • Ensure all DAF donor and prospect interactions and updates are recorded in a timely and accurate manner in CRM systems.
  • Support internal knowledge‑sharing to equip the broader team with donor insights and engagement tools.
  • Monitor DAF activity to identify underutilized or inactive funds and recommend appropriate engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the larger ACF team to propose thematic giving opportunities, portfolio funds, or curated nonprofit recommendations.
  • Coordinate and organize one‑on‑one check‑ins, or learning events to encourage active giving and deeper engagement with DAF holders.
  • Track and report on donor engagement metrics, including fund activity, event participation, and relationship depth.
  • Any other initiatives or events related to DAF donor engagement and pipeline building as assigned.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ experience in relationship management, stewardship, or client services, preferred, background in non‑profit or philanthropy is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as customer service ethos, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse donor profiles.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Collaborative, solutions‑oriented mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Passion for social impact and the mission of advancing giving across Asia.
