Key Purpose: The Finance Divisional Head, NTU Shared Services, will lead the university’s finance transactional services, driving operational excellence, digitalisation, and service delivery across core finance functions. This role is responsible for building a high-performing team to deliver efficient, standardised, and customer‑centric financial services that support the university’s mission in education, research, and administration.

About NTU Shared Services: NTU Shared Services is dedicated to providing high‑quality, efficient, and innovative support services to the university community. Our goal is to enhance the operational effectiveness of NTU through streamlined processes and exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the vision and strategy for Finance Shared Services, driving standardisation, simplification, and scalability. Lead a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general accounting, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Drive automation, robotics, and analytics initiatives. Partner with IT to implement and optimise finance systems, championing data‑driven insights.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the finance team. Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented culture and manage change for new processes and technologies.
  • Strengthen internal controls and risk management. Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and regulations, partnering with audit and regulators.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Practical, technical, and specialized knowledge in finance operations, digital transformation, and compliance.
