Job description

A Leading Financial institution is seeking an experiencedTechnology Governance Leadto drive effective governance practices, manage technology-related risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role is critical in shaping the IT risk posture of the organization while supporting digital transformation initiatives with a strong risk and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee IT governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and control mechanisms across the technology organization.
  • Drive compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor IT risks including cybersecurity, third-party, cloud, and operational risks.
  • Lead risk assessments, control testing, and audits for technology systems and projects.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, legal, and business units to embed risk‑aware practices in project lifecycles and day‑to‑day operations.
  • Maintain risk registers, issue logs, and track remediation actions through to closure.
  • Prepare regular risk reporting for senior management, audit committees, and regulators.
  • Promote risk culture through training, awareness programs, and governance forums.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in IT governance, technology risk, or IT audit, within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g. MAS TRM, ISO 27001).
  • Proven experience in IT audit or IT risk assessments, control evaluations, and remediation tracking.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience with IT audit and compliance teams.
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CISSP are highly preferred.
