Job Purpose

The Director will oversee the overall strategic and operational functions of the Information Technology Consultancy, focusing on data management and AI development initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and technical understanding of IT data solutions to drive growth and maintain competitiveness in both local and international markets, particularly in China.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development

• Formulate and implement business strategies aligned with company goals in the AI data and IT consultancy domain.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and projects related to data management, analytics, and AI model development.
• Lead market expansion efforts, especially in the China market, ensuring strong engagement with clients and vendors.

2. Operations & Project Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure projects are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Drive continuous improvement in data collection, processing, and management systems for AI development.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and relevant IT standards.

3. Client & Vendor Relations

• Maintain strong communication with key clients and partners, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
• Liaise with Chinese vendors and technology partners for AI data sourcing, processing, and system integration.
• Negotiate contracts and partnerships that enhance the company’s service capabilities and profitability.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of IT and data professionals.
• Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Oversee recruitment and training to ensure the team stays updated with the latest AI and data technologies.

5. Financial Management

• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor financial performance and take corrective actions to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and above for any related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT consultancy, data management, or AI-related industries, with at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Strong understanding of AI data processes, cloud technologies, and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Chinese (both written and spoken).
• Proven experience liaising with Chinese markets and vendors.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in cross‑border data projects or AI model training.
• Familiar with data governance and compliance standards (e.g., PDPA, GDPR, China’s Data Security Law).
