• Monitors project scope and requirements affecting drawings accuracy.
• Prepares and submits shop drawings to contractors/architects.
• Updates status of shop drawing submission list for projects.
• Discusses discrepancies on items/materials with relevant parties.
• Assists subordinates in preparing shop drawing details.
• Coordinates structural and architectural inspections with consultants.
• Prepares shop drawing schedule for approval.
• Attends site meetings to provide status updates and resolve issues.
• Works with project team members, clients, and vendors for project completion.
• Monitors and coaches team member performance.
• Promotes team spirit and morale among team members.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for technical drawings of morecomplex/large projects or oversees a team of drafters. Ensures that technical drawings are prepared according to time schedule and conform to specifications for construction
• Supervises and monitors the progress of shop drawings by team members for approval submission
• Ensures the understanding and compliance of drawings with standards and specifications
• Ensures understanding of project scope and requirements that impact accuracy of shop drawings
• Prepares shop drawings and necessary documentation submission to main contractors/architects, etc
• Prepares and updates status of shop drawing submission list for each project
• Highlights and discusses any discrepancies on items/materials with relevant parties
• Assists subordinates in the preparation of shop drawing details
• Co-ordinates and arranges structural and architectural inspections with consultants
• Prepares shop drawing schedule and submission to consultants for approval
• Attends site meetings, progress and design meetings to provide status updates and resolves design and other issues
• Works closely with project team members, clients and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects
• Monitors and coaches the performance of team members
• Promote team spirit and ensures good morale exists among team members
• Any other duties as may be assigned
