Job summary

A logistics company in Singapore is looking for a Driver Assistant to support deliveries and assist in vehicle checks. The ideal candidate should have at least a Primary/Secondary School education and possess relevant skills in unloading, loading, and safe driving. The role involves ensuring safe delivery of goods while adhering to safety protocols. Compensation includes a basic salary of S$1,800 with additional incentives. Working hours are 5.5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 1 year of working experience in a related field is required.
• Advantage if candidate has a Class 3 Driving License and experience in driving a 14' lorry.
• Preferably working experience with Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry.

Responsibilities

• Report to office/warehouse as per agreed timing.
• Assist Driver in performing daily checks on vehicle condition.
• Deliver products using pallet jack or by hand.
• Ensure products are delivered with no damages.
• Follow safety practices during loading/unloading.

Job description

Driver Assistant (FMCG)

• To report to office/warehouse as per agreed timing
• Assist Driver on performing daily check on vehicle condition and keep clean at all time
• To be able to deliver the products using pallet jack or carry cartons by hand on delivery to stores
• Do not smoke and do not use phone or texting in vehicle
• Responsible on products uploaded for delivery with no damages and discrepancy
• Following the best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading a vehicle
• Wear safety shoes, face mask & face shield, avoid close contact with customers and practices good personal hygiene
• Obtaining customers signature and chop on all invoice copies
• Collect cash upon delivery from customers and submit back to office the same day

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Primary/Secondary School/"O" Level in Logistic/Transportationor equivalent.
• At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Required Skill(s): warehouse picking, loading, unloading, safe driving skill
• An advantage to have basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Excel
• Preferably working experience with Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry
• Advantage if candidate has a Class 3 Driving License & has experience in driving a 14’ lorry.
