Job description

This demand is for Platform Support / Data Engineer (CAT-1 cleared or eligible) with 5+ years’ experience in platform/application support or software/data engineering, including incident management.

The role requires strong experience in application implementation, RDBMS integration, and hands‑on work in Linux/Unix environments with scripting.

Candidates should be able to drive automation and CI/CD improvements for deployment, monitoring, and incident response, and have working knowledge of data integration and visualization tools (e.g., Informatica, Tableau, Power BI).

Strong communication skills and experience working in SDLC/Agile environments are essential.

Mandatory Skills

• CAT-1 cleared/eligible candidate is required for this role.
• Possess a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related fields.
• At least 5 years' experience of working as a platform support engineer or a software engineer or a data engineer with experience on Incident Management.
• Strong working knowledge and experience of application implementation to implement new platforms.
• Familiar with application integration using RDBMS.
• Hands‑on experience of using Linux (or Unix‑like OS) as the development environment, and familiar with shell scripts and command line tools.
• Knowledge of data integration, data visualization platforms such as Informatica, Tableau, Power BI.
• Able to identify automation opportunities to automate operational tasks, streamline deployment via CI/CD, monitoring and incident response processes, and reduce manual intervention.
• Exposure and knowledge in the following technologies will be advantageous:
  • Ansible, Python
  • Snowflake, Oracle, MS-SQL, Denodo
  • AWS services
• Experience in Systems Development Life Cycle implementation methodology (SDLC) and/or Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Good understanding and able to apply good industry practice of code versioning, testing, CI/CD workflow, and code documentation.
• Good team player, with strong analytical skills and enjoy complex problem solving with innovative ideas.
• Good communication/people skills and able to interact with data analysts, business end-users and vendors to design and develop solutions.
• Good at working with details and is meticulous for operations.
