Job summary

A leading data center services provider is looking for a Data Centre Technician to manage maintenance tasks and operational duties in Singapore. The role requires handling equipment in a high-performance environment and performing inspections, system checks, and emergency responses. A degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field are required. The position offers a salary of up to $4,800 with additional benefits.

Job description

Our client is a prominent data center and ICT services provider based in Singapore. It specializes in offering secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure solutions to enterprises, financial institutions, and government agencies.

Job Scope
  • Perform daily maintenance and operational tasks to ensure all primary and backup equipment in the data center remains fully functional.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, critical system checks, and functional tests.
  • Address mechanical and electrical alarms or faults by identifying patterns and implementing appropriate corrective measures.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts from the Building Management System (BMS) and Environmental Monitoring System (EMS), investigate issues, and provide timely updates on unresolved events.
  • Participate in emergency response efforts and be available for standby duty as needed.
  • Handle customer requests and deliveries, including installation support, coordination with design and construction teams.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Min 1-2 years of relevant experience in Data Centre or M&E experience in building/construction industry.
  • Strong technical and functional skills and knowledge of facilities management and operations.
  • Able to commit to 12 hours rotating shift duty.

Working Location: Bedok/Woodlands

Salary: Up to $4,800 + AWS + Variable bonus
