Job description

We are supporting a global manufacturing organization looking for a Data Analyst who enjoys solving real operational problems, not just creating dashboards.

In this role, you will work closely with operations, engineering, and finance teams to understand why factory performance changes, where productivity is lost, and which improvement actions will have the biggest impact. You will turn complex factory and machine data into clear, structured insights that help leaders make better decisions.

This is not an accounting role and not a reporting-only BI role. The focus is on operations performance analysis, productivity, efficiency, and loss drivers.

You will collaborate with regional and global teams, with regular interaction and knowledge sharing with overseas stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Operations & Performance Analytics (Core Focus)

  • Analyze manufacturing performance such as productivity, efficiency, utilization, and losses
  • Explain what changed, why it changed, and where to focus improvements
  • Build structured analytical models to support performance reviews and continuous improvement
  • Define and standardize how performance metrics are calculated and interpreted

Manufacturing & Machine Data Analysis

  • Analyze operational and machine data including throughput, downtime, scrap, and process variation
  • Support root cause analysis using structured approaches (e.g. loss breakdowns, driver analysis)
  • Work with Automation / OT teams to ensure machine and process data is clean, structured, and analytically usable

Data Modeling & Analytics Foundations

  • Design and maintain reusable datasets and structured data models
  • Support data architecture concepts such as data flows, transformation layers, and semantic models
  • Develop analytics using Python, R, and SQL
  • Maintain clear documentation for data logic, assumptions, and models to ensure scalability
Who We Are Looking For

Must-Have

  • Degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience preferred (manufacturing or industrial environment is a strong advantage)
Early-career candidates or strong fresh graduates with solid analytical foundations are welcome as guidance will be given
  • Strong analytical mindset — able to explain “why”, not just report “what”
  • Experience working with structured data models (beyond dashboards and reports)
  • Hands‑on experience with Python, R, and SQL
  • Background in either:
    • Manufacturing / operations / process data analysis, or
    • Performance / operational analytics with willingness to learn manufacturing concepts
  • Strong attention to data quality, consistency, and documentation

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs (productivity, efficiency, utilization, loss drivers)
  • Exposure to data architecture or analytics platforms
  • Experience with Power BI or Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and production master data
  • Experience supporting regional or global digital initiatives
  • JMP / Minitab experience
