Job Description

Provides front line service to customers by booking cargo shipments into the tracking system. Handles and resolves customer complaints and special air shipping requirements and answers customer questions regarding products or services.

Must have an understanding of computer systems, internet applications and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience is required in sales, customer service or an operational coordination role in transportation, freight forwarding and/or air cargo transport industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, excellent service to customers on a daily basis, building and maintaining relationships and responding to customers’ needs regarding carriage availability and order status.
  • Negotiate rates and cargo space with carriers/airlines.
  • Proactively anticipate problems for customers using daily reporting functions.
  • Facilitate win‑win solutions during problem‑solving for both customers and the company through sales, scheduling, transportation and after‑sales service.
  • Maintain product knowledge and excellent communication with customers in securing the best carrier for cargo movements.
  • Solicit sales to established accounts through outbound calls to existing customers.
  • Ensure accurate order entry, monitor proper pricing, and resolve any credit issues related to orders.
  • Maximise loading and shipping methods for all orders.
  • Participate in growth development and cross‑training efforts.
  • Provide and maintain monthly administrative reports and personal metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
