Job description
Responsibilities
  • Recruit seafarers through collaboration with crewing agencies.
  • Coordinate interview arrangements for senior officers with respective department heads.
  • Review seafarers’ certification and arrange medical examinations as required by Charterers.
  • Validate seafarers’ certification with relevant authorities and handle Flag State licence applications.
  • Ensure validity of seafarers’ documents/certificates and maintain accurate records in the crewing system.
  • Monitor compliance of vessels with minimum safe manning standards.
  • Work with manning and port agents to manage crew changes, including visa processing and flight arrangements.
  • Maintain updated crew rotation plans, schedules, and crew lists.
  • Track expiration of seafarers’ certificates and documents.
  • Ensure timely completion, signing, and uploading of crew appraisal reports into the crewing system.
  • Submit crew sign-on/off information via the MPA DigitPort portal for Singapore-flagged vessels.
  • Check and validate crew-related invoices.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Crewing Manager.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in any discipline.
  • At least 1 year of crewing/manning experience within the maritime industry.
  • Pleasant, mature personality with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to take initiative.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
