Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate and resourceful Cook to join our Operations team at St Luke’s ElderCare Residence. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring residents receive nutritious, high‑quality meals by preparing, cooking, and serving food in compliance with health and safety standards. You will focus on meal preparation, kitchen hygiene, and food storage while supporting smooth day‑to‑day kitchen operations. You will take ownership of cooking, food quality checks, and stock management, contributing to residents’ wellbeing through consistent and safe meal service.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook daily meals in accordance with standard menus, recipes, and dietary requirements
  • Deliver food to assigned households and ensure timely meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, including daily and weekly cleaning
  • Organize and manage dry and wet food storage areas
  • Wash and clean soiled dishes, and keep prep and cooking areas tidy after use
  • Conduct taste and quality checks for all cooked items during shifts
  • Monitor stock levels, support ordering, and assist in food costing
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene requirements
Requirements
  • Completed PSLE, GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Level, NITEC, or Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Willing to work rotating shifts.
  • Experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, or restaurant service an advantage.
