A construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead contract negotiations and manage tender processes for electrical systems in data centres. The candidate must have a degree in a relevant field, with 3–5 years of experience in contracts management, particularly within the construction sector. Familiarity with Singapore’s construction regulations is essential. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a focus on ensuring compliance and improving contract performance.
📍 Location: Singapore (Admiralty)
Lead the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, subcontracts, and supply agreements for electrical systems in data centres and commercial projects.
Manage tender processes — compile documents, evaluate proposals, and ensure full compliance with project specifications and budgets.
Track contract performance and manage change orders to avoid cost overruns and delays.
Collaborate closely with project engineers, procurement, and site managers to resolve contractual issues and support smooth project execution.
Maintain accurate and organized contract documentation, including insurance, payments, and performance bonds.
Conduct contract risk assessments, identifying potential liabilities related to electrical safety, installation standards, and supply chain dependencies.
Liaise with vendors, legal advisors, and authorities to ensure regulatory compliance under BCA and other local frameworks.
Support post-project reviews and continuous process improvement for future tenders and bids.
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or Business Administration.
3–5 years of experience in contracts management within the construction or engineering sector, ideally in electrical projects (data centres or commercial buildings).
Familiar with Singapore’s construction regulations, especially BCA and Building Control Act requirements.
Knowledge of the Malaysia market is an advantage.
Proven track record in managing subcontracts, tender evaluations, and contract close-outs in fast-paced environments.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
Detail‑oriented with strong documentation and risk analysis abilities.
Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts (power distribution, systems integration).
Confident in interpreting commercial terms and ensuring alignment with technical scopes.
