A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee daily operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and project timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills and knowledge of construction methods. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, relevant certification, and experience in supervisory roles within the industry.
Supervise and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
Monitor daily activities and ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues.
Coordinate delivery and storage of materials, tools, and equipment.
Conduct daily safety briefings and maintain a clean, hazard‑free site.
Ensure all permits, inspections, and documentation are completed as required.
Review workmanship to maintain high‑quality standards.
Identify defects or deviations and ensure timely corrective action.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers on technical issues.
Create and update short‑term schedules and work plans.
Coordinate sequencing of tasks among different trades.
Report progress, delays, and changes to the project manager.
Act as the primary on‑site contact for workers, clients, inspectors, and management.
Maintain accurate daily logs, timesheets, and reports.
Communicate resource needs and potential project risks.
Train, mentor, and motivate crew members.
Promote a productive, positive work environment.
Resolve on‑site conflicts quickly and effectively.
Proven experience as a Construction Supervisor, Foreman, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with project management tools and basic computer software.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification or degree in construction management preferred.
2–3 years of construction experience, including supervisory roles.
