Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to manage various construction projects. The role involves overseeing piling, excavation, and architecture work, ensuring safety and compliance, and leading a team of technical staff. The successful candidate will have a recognized degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience, including 5 years managing projects, primarily in HDB building. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

• Min 10 years of civil engineering experience, including 5 years managing a construction team.
• Experience in HDB building projects.
• Well-versed in construction sequence and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage Piling, Excavation, ERSS, RC, and Architecture work.
• Develop program of work and strategy for the project.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Control and monitor work progress and resources.
• Lead a team of technical staff in daily operations.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Well-versed in Construction Method Statements
• Manage Piling, Excavation, ERSS, RC, and Architecture work
• Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals before construction work starts
• Developing the program of work and strategy for making the project happen
• Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials
• Making safety inspections of the site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health, safety, and the environment are adhered to
• Ensure progress of work is within budget & timelines as well as quality & safety objectives
• Control and monitor work progress and resources
• Lead a team of technical staff in daily operations

• Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering
• Min 10 years of civil engineering experience of which includes 5 years in managing a construction team for various building projects, mainly HDB building Projects
• Well-versed in construction sequence, principles, piling and RC Structural regulatory requirements
• Good leadership skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Great team player
