Job description

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Company and/or project goals are properly communicated to and acted upon by all Cost personnel.
• Constantly review the processes of Costing to improve productivity and accuracy of cost analysis.
• Ensure Costing Section provide an excellent support service to the project teams.
• Establish and maintain the organization of the Costing Section.
• Plan, develop and supervise all cost functions.
• Guide the establishment of the project budgets and project control tools.
• Identify in a timely manner and assist in the recruitment of new resources as necessary.
• Facilitate efficient resource deployment within the Costing Section.
• Implement a standard costing structure and ensure that all projects adhere to this standard.
• In coordination with HR, ensure career development is promoted for all employees within the Costing Section.
• Liaise with Subcontracts Department to monitor, control and prevent inaccurate costing.
• Maintain and promote good customer business relationship for long term business opportunities.
• Perform periodical project audits directly or through subordinates to ensure progress is accurately being reported by the project management team.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Costing Engineers to improve their skill in effective invoice negotiation with subcontractors and close monitoring of profit margin and costing.
• Responsible for development and implementation of project cost standards and procedures.
• Ensure that cost methods are standardized and proper training is administered.
• Support Costing Engineers during negotiation with subcontractors on invoice settlement.
• When required by the Vice President (Commercial), deal with claims and insurance matters.
• Ensure that all standard operating procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements
