Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Commercial and Finance Director to drive strategy, financial performance, and regional growth in ASEAN and ANZ. This senior role requires a leader with 10+ years of experience in commercial finance and strong skills in negotiation, financial modelling, and stakeholder management. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and preferably an MBA. This position is based in Singapore with competitive salary ranging from SGD 18,000 to 25,000 monthly.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in commercial finance, corporate development, or strategic finance roles.
  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Strong commercial negotiation experience in ASEAN/APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy and financial performance across ASEAN and ANZ.
  • Develop financial assessments for new markets and investments.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the ASEAN Hub Office.

Commercial and Finance Director – ASEAN & ANZ

Location: Singapore

Regional Coverage: ASEAN, ANZ, APAC

Salary (Monthly): SGD $18,000 – $25,000

We are seeking an exceptional Commercial and Finance Director to lead commercial strategy, financial performance, and regional growth across the ASEAN and ANZ markets. This senior, dual-reporting role is ideal for a commercially minded finance leader who excels in building partnerships, shaping strategy, and operating effectively in complex, fast‑paced environments.

As a key member of the regional leadership team, you will drive high‑value commercial initiatives, strengthen financial governance, and enable long‑term expansion across APAC.

Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Leadership
  • Lead the design, evaluation, and negotiation of commercial opportunities, partnerships, and strategic contracts.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Oversee management and optimisation of commercial agreements throughout their lifecycle.
2. Business Strategy & Market Insights
  • Lead strategic analysis to identify market opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to the C‑suite.
  • Develop business cases and financial assessments for new markets, products, and major investments.
3. Regional Growth & Partnership Development
  • Support evaluation and execution of strategic partnerships and new business initiatives across APAC.
  • Contribute to the development of external revenue streams, including clinical research‑related opportunities.
  • Assess potential partnerships for financial viability and long‑term value creation.
4. Financial Leadership & Governance
  • Serve as the key financial leader for the ASEAN region.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Strengthen financial controls, risk management, and working capital efficiency.
5. Regional Operations & Organisational Support
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the ASEAN Hub Office.
  • Provide oversight for regional logistics, facilities planning, and operational projects.
  • Support financial tracking and governance of regional initiatives and capital expenditure.
Experience
  • 10+ years in commercial finance, corporate development, or strategic finance roles.
  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Preferred: MBA or professional accounting accreditation (CPA, ACCA, CA).
  • Strong commercial negotiation experience in ASEAN/APAC.
  • Advanced financial modelling and business case development capabilities.
  • Experience across APAC/ASEAN with understanding of regulatory and operational contexts.
  • Pharmaceutical or Radiopharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong financial acumen and IFRS/GAAP knowledge.
  • Ability to synthesise complex data into executive‑level insights.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in an ASEAN language is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel and experience with major ERP systems.
