Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Singapore seeks an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience programming and operating CNC lathes. Proficiency in G-code programming and a strong ability to read engineering drawings are essential. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to meet production deadlines while ensuring quality. Familiarity with CAM software is an advantage.

Requirements

• Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Precision, or Manufacturing Engineering

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer / Machinist

• Able to program, set up, and run CNC lathe jobs independently

• Strong knowledge of G-code / M-code programming (conversational programming is a plus)

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and GD&T

• Experience with tool selection, work offsets, and machine setup

• Familiar with cutting tools, feeds & speeds, and machining optimization

• Able to perform first article inspection and adjust programs as needed

• Competent in using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, etc.)

• Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Knowledge of CAM software is an advantage

• Self-motivated, quality-focused, and able to meet production deadlines
