Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to manage and enhance enterprise ICT infrastructure services, including servers, networks, end-user computing, data centre facilities, and cloud platforms. The role ensures infrastructure availability, performance, security, cost efficiency, and service continuity, in compliance with organisational standards and Government security policies where applicable.

The engineer will design, implement, and operate cloud and hybrid infrastructure, optimise cloud resources and costs, enforce cloud security and governance controls, and support cloud migration, integration, and modernisation initiatives in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain on-premise, data centre, and cloud infrastructure.
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure environments, ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and cost optimisation.
• Monitor systems and cloud services, perform log reviews, manage incidents, and drive problem resolution.
• Deliver infrastructure projects, including cloud adoption, migration, and integration.
• Coordinate security compliance activities, including vulnerability remediation, audit follow-ups, and security hardening.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery planning and annual DR testing.
• Manage ICT vendors/contractors to meet operational and service delivery requirements.
• Support procurement activities including specifications, tender evaluation, contract management, and expenditure tracking.
• Act as point-of-contact for cloud and infrastructure initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in infrastructure, data centre, or cloud operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cloud platforms, and infrastructure security.
• Experience with cloud operations, resource optimisation, and governance controls.
• Experience in vendor management, ICT project delivery, and service operations.
• Knowledge of Singapore Government ICT governance, IM8 policies, and procurement processes is preferred.
• Exposure to Government Cloud/ AWS / Azure / GCP and IT Service Management frameworks is an advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
