Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and governance of cloud-based data ecosystems using Azure services such as Data Factory, Data Lake, Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL.
• Oversee the migration and modernization of legacy databases and applications to cloud-native solutions.
• Manage OLTP and OLAP environments, ensuring high availability, optimized performance, and adherence to security best practices.
• Direct the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines for large and complex datasets.
• Establish standards for data modelling, schema design, storage optimization, and data quality assurance.
• Implement performance tuning strategies for databases, queries, and stored procedures across MS SQL, DB2, and other platforms.
• Ensure proper data encryption, archival strategies, and compliance‑driven data protections.
• Manage the configuration, customization, and integration of enterprise applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Oversee end‑to‑end data migration activities for ERP/CRM transformation initiatives.
• Coordinate enhancements, release cycles, and troubleshooting activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead a cross‑functional technical team responsible for cloud, applications, and data engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with business units to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects within time, scope, and budget through structured planning, testing, rollout, and post‑implementation support.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, cloud platforms, and database administration.
• Strong experience in Azure Cloud Architecture
• Strong proficiency of 15+ years in Azure cloud components such as ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Synapse, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB.
• Deep expertise in OLTP/OLAP systems, SQL programming, data modelling, and optimization strategies.
• Significant hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools and large‑scale data integrations.
• Good experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is required for this role.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python, PySpark, PowerShell, or C#.
• Should have relevant professional certifications in Azure
• Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, version control, CI/CD automation, and job scheduling tools.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight timelines.
