Job description

We are seeking a Full‑time Chinese Language Teacher (Mandarin Teacher) to teach students from Nursery 1 (N1) to Secondary level in Singapore.

The successful candidate should be passionate about Chinese language education, committed to student development, and capable of delivering engaging and effective Mandarin lessons in a second‑language learning context.

Teaching Levels

• Preschool: N1–K2
• Primary School
• Secondary School
• Teaching level(s) will be assigned based on the teacher’s qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver Mandarin / Chinese language lessons aligned with curriculum objectives
• Develop appropriate teaching materials and classroom activities for students of different age groups
• Assess students’ learning progress and provide constructive feedback
• Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Demonstrate care for students’ academic and personal development
• Collaborate with colleagues to support teaching and learning initiatives

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field, including but not limited to:
  • International Chinese Language Education
  • Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL)
  • Chinese Language and Literature
  • Applied Chinese Linguistics
  • Other related Chinese language or education disciplines
• Teaching Experience:
  • Teaching experience is not required
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Language Proficiency:
  • Native-level Mandarin Chinese proficiency with standard pronunciation
  • Putonghua Proficiency Test Level 2‑A or above
  • Good command of spoken English, particularly in listening and speaking, for effective classroom communication
