About the Job

Responsibilities include:

  • Independently prepare targeted, high-quality research reports that form the basis of client decisions.
  • Establish and maintain close relationships with key customers, providing high-quality service such as meetings and individual reports.
  • Actively market research products to both internal and external clients domestically and abroad.
  • Closely cooperate with internal divisions on strategic issues and capital market transactions.
  • Continuously monitor the sector to identify new business potential for the bank.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree / PhD in Economics; additional qualifications such as CFA, CIIA, or CEFA are desired.
  • Strong experience as a China-focused economist or research analyst with a proven record in macroeconomic and policy analysis.
  • Deep understanding of China's economy, markets, and regulatory environment combined with a global and strategic outlook.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex insights clearly to both Chinese and global stakeholders and fluency in English and Business Mandarin (written and spoken) to communicate with international and Mandarin-speaking clients and authorities.
  • Strong skills in data interpretation, report writing, and economic modelling.
  • Willingness to travel across Asia to support the business.
