To continue the legacy of Goodwood Park, we are looking for dynamic and committed candidates to join our Engineer Department.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, your job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Assists the Director of Engineering to prepare annual budget for departmental expenses including manpower requirements.
  • Assists the Director of Engineering to oversee the efficient operation of the department. Prioritise, plan, schedule, assign and supervise all staff of maintenance department.
  • Co‑ordinates with architects, M&E consultants and various government departments for projects approval, executions and licences etc, as directed by the Director of Engineering.
  • Plan and direct the preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, work orders and special projects ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Establishes and co‑ordinates the annual in‑house maintenance programme.
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical testing or commissioning as and when necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel, including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc. Focusing on operations, guests and owner’s satisfaction.
  • Initiates sustainability/ energy conservation programs for the hotel.
  • Assists and co‑ordinates with other departments regarding maintenance and administration matters, including their budget plan for new/replacement of equipment, renovation, etc.
  • Coach and guide staff and contractors to ensure that they are familiar and comply with the hotel standards in performing maintenance activities.
  • Train staff on proper use and periodic maintenance of all equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance staff are wearing proper uniform with name tag and uphold hotel’s grooming and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure hotel and work areas are maintained to standard and that all safety equipment and conditions are to code.
  • Ensure proper records are kept relating to the hotel including repair and service records.
  • Develop, implement, and direct all emergency programs.
  • Prepare reports as required by the Director of Engineering and Management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering operations, with at least 2-3 years in a similar capacity.
  • At least a Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and good leadership skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
