Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee all laboratory activities and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree and have over 5 years of experience in quality control, demonstrating strong leadership skills and proficiency in HPLC and FTIR. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality control.
  • Experience in Nutritional Premix and/or Infant Nutrition is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in setting up laboratory facilities is considered a plus.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all quality control and laboratory activities, including sample management and analysis of raw materials and finished products.
  • Review supplier Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and production batch reports for compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage product release processes and monitor analysis turnaround times to ensure targets are met.
  • Investigate and manage out-of-specification results, ensuring timely resolutions are achieved.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and chemical inventory, ensuring safe practices and adherence to regulations.
  • Plan and conduct calibration schedules while validating new testing methods as required.
  • Assist in maintaining procedures, conducting internal audits, and providing training to team members.
  • Oversee chemical waste disposal and ensure proper handling of hazardous substances.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality control, with proficiency in HPLC, FTIR, and microbiology.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with knowledge of GLP, GMP, FSCC 22000, and ISO 17025.
  • Experience in Nutritional Premix and/or Infant Nutrition is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in setting up laboratory facilities is considered a plus.
