Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to lead and support our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have strong wok skills, a deep appreciation for Penang and local cuisine, and the ability to maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Penang-inspired tze char dishes
  • Oversee kitchen operations and ensure food quality and presentation meet restaurant standards
  • Manage food preparation, inventory control, and kitchen cleanliness
  • Train, guide, and motivate junior kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with management to create new menu items and seasonal specials
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Chef or Senior Cook in a tze char, zi char, or Asian cuisine setting
  • Strong wok and sauce-making skills preferred
  • Ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Positive attitude and passion for culinary excellence
  • Valid Food Hygiene Certificate preferred
