The Trade Teams in G2 Ocean consists of the following three roles: Chartering, Operation and Business Controlling.

The Position reports to the Senior Chartering Manager/ Chartering Director, who leads the team.

The job holder will be:
  • Participating in fulfilling the commercial responsibilities of the designated trade team including responsibilities assigned to chartering in the Voyage Execution Process.
  • Managing Time Charter (TC) activities to support trade and fleet optimization
  • Ensuring compliance with agreed working practices in all relevant systems supporting the Voyage Execution process.
  • Ensuring that all data is accurate, valid and complete in a timely manner throughout the Voyage Execution.
The job holder will be responsible for:
  • Supporting and building customer relations in accordance with company policy and trade targets
  • Developing new accounts and market intelligence in the assigned trade
  • Identifying and securing vessels required for TC-in based on fleet and trade plans.
  • Market company vessels for TC-out and maximise earnings.
  • Provide market updates and vessel/tonnage availability reports.
  • Monitor and document customer satisfaction
  • Register and assist in resolving incidents in accordance with company policy
  • Create and manage core commercial information in our systems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Education: The job holder may be a college or equivalent graduate ideally with a maritime related degree.

Training: The job holder will either hold the ICS qualification or be prepared to study for this.
