A culinary company in Singapore is seeking an experienced cook with proven ability in Western cuisine. Responsibilities include executing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high hygiene standards, and training junior staff. Ideal candidates should have strong kitchen organization skills and the ability to work under pressure. Relevant culinary education or certifications are a plus. The position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for skill development.
Execute daily kitchen operations smoothly, ensuring consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
Prepare mise en place and support service for hot and cold stations
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to maintain food quality standards
Ensure food hygiene and safety standards (SFA, HACCP) are met at all times
Assist in inventory checks and proper storage of ingredients
Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in training junior staff and implementing kitchen SOPs
Participate in menu tastings, seasonal promotions, and new dish R&D (where applicable)
Proven experience in Western cuisine – French, Italian, Greek, or Mexican preferred
Prior experience as a CDP or Demi Chef ready to step up
Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques
Strong sense of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation
Team player with a positive attitude, passion for food, and willingness to learn
Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Relevant culinary education or certifications a plus
