Job summary

A leading data centre operator in Singapore is seeking an experienced procurement professional to develop strategies for cost optimisation and supplier management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and drive sourcing activities while ensuring compliance with technical evaluations and negotiations. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Business Management and relevant experience in procurement and category management.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in data centres or mechanical and electrical field or facilities management
  • Develop category strategy to drive cost optimisation and manage supply risk
  • As part of category strategy development, to perform supply market, spend and supplier base analyses
  • To work closely with stakeholders in developing sourcing strategies. To identify joint sourcing opportunities with other BUs
  • To drive and lead sourcing activities for assigned category, including working with stakeholders on scope and technical evaluation, performing TCO analysis and to lead in negotiations, and working with legal on contracting
  • Experience in contracting and to work closely with legal and relevant parties for contracting
  • To be able to manage and influence stakeholders
  • To work closely with stakeholders to monitor, manage and drive suppliers’ performances
  • To lead in regular business reviews or engagements with key suppliers
Skills for Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or relevant
  • Relevant experience in procurement and category management
  • Experience in data centres or mechanical and electrical (M&E) equipment and services
  • Technical knowledge in M&E field
