Job description

Responsibilities

• Ability to install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials.
• Fit and install window frames, doors, door hardware, interior and exterior trim, using carpenter’s levels, plumb bobs, and laser leveling tools to ensure precise alignment and finish quality.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Review blueprints, sketches, and building plans to plan project layouts and determine required dimensions and materials.
• Shape or cut materials using hand tools, machines, or power saws to precise measurements.
• Follow safety rules, regulations and ensure a safe and clean environment.
• Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings, with woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks or props, with hand tools, wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Remove damaged or defective parts of structures and efficiently repair or replace via hand tools.
• Inspect ceilings, floor tiles, wall coverings, siding,glass, and woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
• Ensure worksite is clean.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial or residentialcarpentry.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fullygrasp requirements.
• Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well asability to conduct a company-specific safety orientation.
• Able to receive, follow instructions and communicate coherently with workers.
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, andguidelines.
• Detail-oriented and must stay alert to ensure safety in workplace.
• Open to all locals/PRs/work-permit holders/S-pass/EP.
