Role : Nurse
Title : Care Nurse
Objective:

The Care Nurse is expected to perform a variety of duties that relate to client care that include medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes while receiving specialise care. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Care Nurses help clients, and their families meet the challenges of ageing with dignity, pride, care, and compassion. The individual is self-motivated with the compassion and dedication to join our specialist team to personally provide the best quality in home specialised care and support for our clients and their families in our community.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Providing professional and culturally appropriate specialise nursing care and taking the lead to support seniors to live as independently as possible at home
  • Tailoring individualised care to suit the personal needs of our individual clients
  • Performing typical daily nursing procedures as required
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of seniors
  • Providing personal care to seniors, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL):
    • personal hygiene care (washing, showering / bed bath), toileting and incontinence issues
    • dressing, personal grooming, and feeding
    • mobility and transferring
  • Checking on vital signs and administering oral medication
  • Maintaining clear and legible documentation and records
  • Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support
  • Reminding and escorting to medical appointments and other social activities
  • Other care activities when necessary, including but not limited to:
    • Performing light housekeeping tasks & general home support
    • Assisting in grocery shopping & light meal preparation
    • Supervising simple maintenance exercises
    • Facilitating mind stimulating and recreational activities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Have a valid professional pre-enrolment or pre-registration nursing qualification accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) or its equivalent, or has been assessed to be competent to practice as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Have supervisory experience of delegated duties to ENs if you are a qualified RN
  • Have a minimum 2 years of ward experience or in a specific area of practice
  • Have good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Be physically capable of transferring or assisting the senior’s mobility (ability to lift, pull or push)
  • Read, write and speak English and be fluent in a Singapore dialect or mother tongue is a plus
  • Have experience in senior care is a plus but not mandatory
  • Have CPR/AED certification is a plus
  • Have integrity and pass our comprehensive background and reference checks
  • Reliable, trustworthy and treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Eager and willing to learn with an eye for details and committed to providing the best care
