Job summary

A financial services firm in Singapore is looking for a candidate to provide technical valuation support to the audit team. The role involves evaluating valuation methodologies and performing analyses for financial reporting. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Finance or related fields, at least 1 year of relevant experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Qualifications

Job description
Major responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • To assist in providing technical valuation support to the audit team, including reviewing valuation reports prepared by clients or their external experts as part of the audit process.
  • To assist in evaluating key valuation methodologies, models, and assumptions, and preparing internal review documentation and technical summaries for audit working papers.
  • To perform valuation analyses primarily for financial reporting purposes, including purchase price allocation (PPA), impairment testing, fair value measurement, and share‑based payment in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • To assist in financial model development and review, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with valuation and accounting standards.
  • To perform industry, market, and comparable company/transaction research to support valuation analysis.
  • To prepare and review DCF models, WACC computations, and relevant supporting analyses.
  • To conduct research and assist in the preparation of valuation report/memos and internal review documentation.
  • To support managers and directors in maintaining quality control and documentation standards in all deliverables.
  • To carry out any other assignments as directed by managers, directors, or senior management.
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other business related disciplines.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in valuation, audit, corporate finance, or related fields.
  • Knowledge or exposure to valuation for financial reporting (e.g. purchase price allocation, impairment testing, fair value measurement or share‑based payment) is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, Market Multiples) and finance and accounting principles.
  • Responsible, well‑organised and able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work with a high degree of autonomy as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in PC knowledge such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word‑processing.
