Business Development Representative (Commercial)

Ancloz Engineering engineers and fabricates bespoke removable passive fire protection and removable insulation systems for the oil and gas sector that enhance safety and energy efficiency.

We are expanding markets and are looking for experienced business development representatives to grow with us.

Role Overview

In this role, you won’t just sell products; you’ll be the driving force connecting our removable jacketing solutions to a new and exciting market - commercial buildings.

As a Business Development Representative (Commercial), you’ll embody these values by identifying opportunities, engaging clients, and positioning our removable jacketing systems as the preferred solution for removable passive fire protection, in the commercial sector.

You will be the key commercial lead supporting our expansion beyond the oil and gas industry. Working closely with our technical and project teams, you’ll build client relationships, secure project specifications, and help shape how our products are introduced and adopted in this new market.

Unlike traditional sales roles, you’ll play a strategic part in defining our go-to-market approach, ensuring our solutions meet both technical requirements and market needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Development & Client Engagement: Identify, approach, and build strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and building owners within the commercial sector.
  • Business Development Strategy: Support the development of market entry strategies and partnership opportunities in new industries.
  • Sales & Specification Support: Work with technical and project teams to ensure our solutions meet client specifications and project requirements.
  • Pipeline Management: Generate leads, track progress, and support the closing of deals from initial contact to final delivery.
  • Industry Insight: Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and construction standards relevant to fire protection and insulation in commercial buildings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.

  • Experienced Industry Professional: Background in sales or business development within construction, building materials, or M&E sectors preferred.
  • Well-Connected: Possess existing networks with developers, consultants, or contractors in commercial building projects.
  • Technically Conversant: Comfortable understanding and explaining technical concepts such as fire protection, insulation systems, or building standards.
