Job summary

A recruitment firm is seeking a Business Development Executive in Singapore to grow the insurance portfolio targeting the Thai market. Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the insurance portfolio targeting clients from or related to the Thai market.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential partners, brokers, and distribution channels serving the Thai community or high-net-worth individuals.
  • Work closely with internal teams including underwriting, marketing, and product development to tailor solutions to market needs.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and improve offerings.
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to onboarding and after-sales service.
  • Support marketing and branding efforts specific to the Thai-speaking segment, including events, seminars, and content creation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in insurance, ideally in business development, sales, or distribution roles.
  • Proven track record of success in developing the Thai/HNW market segment.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, distribution models, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Fluency in Thai and English is required, to liaise with Thai-speaking clients and partners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in HNW life insurance or cross-border insurance solutions.
  • Existing network within the Thai-speaking client base or referral partners in Singapore.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
