Role Overview

Join the Business Requirements team to analyze and define user needs for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system supporting commuters and public transport operators. With the rollout of Account-Based Ticketing, which enables fare payment using credit and debit cards, this role offers opportunities to understand new payment modes and translate evolving requirements into practical system solutions.

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to rationalize business and operational needs and ensure feasible, sustainable system implementation. This position suits individuals who enjoy engaging with people, thinking systematically, and communicating clearly to explain requirements to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze data from various sources, including workload volumes (calls, emails, live chats), abandoned rates, and post-call survey results.
• Ensure accurate and consistent tracking of data for performance reporting and key metrics; validate data and maintain databases aligned with operational needs.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on performance insights; develop workload forecasts and capacity plans to anticipate future needs and guide resource allocation.
• Drive operational efficiency through analysis, engaging stakeholders to understand processes and recommend solutions aligned with best practices and project management frameworks.
• Support technology refresh projects to maintain and enhance operational performance and security, including analytics or AI solutions; assist in planning, deployment, testing, and post-deployment review.
• Lead system improvement initiatives, including detailed testing and validation to ensure all functionalities operate as intended.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the reporting officer or department head.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent in IT or OT environments.
• Strong analytical skills with a structured approach and ability to adapt to changes.
• Hands-on approach to uncover root causes and contextualize insights within operational landscapes.
• Proficiency in data analysis, querying, and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present and synthesize findings for diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft .NET programming, web services/XML, and SQL database administration is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
