We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Analyst.

In this role you will

• Work with business and technology teams to gather and understand requirements for data and AI projects.
• Analyze processes and data, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvements.
• Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable plans for project teams to follow.
• Support the creation and maintenance of key data models, dashboards, and reporting tools for tracking business performance.
• Help ensure that data used in projects is accurate, reliable, and meets HSBC’s quality and security standards.
• Communicate findings and explain recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assist with testing new solutions and resolving issues during development or rollout.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to data and AI analytics.
• Support the business owner to prioritise product backlog by providing insight based on business knowledge, investigations, and analysis.
• Work directly with various stakeholders across multiple geographies, such as Product Owners, Business Analysts, Technology, and Digital teams to produce accurate delivery estimates and manage the transition from analysis through to design and delivery.
• Ensure risks and issues are identified and managed closely and remove project delivery blockers.
• Drive all stakeholders to deliver on time and to the required quality standards.
• Contribute to post implementation reviews to demonstrate success and progress of projects.
• Develop various project documentation to stakeholders (e.g., Project Plan, Status Report, Implementation checkpoints, training document, user manual and communication).
• Supporting the delivery production line (development, testing and implementation) ensuring digital deliverables meet business requirements and are fit for purpose to release to customers.

To be successful you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business, IT, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
• Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, ideally in banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to clearly communicate complex ideas and work well with people in both business and technical roles.
• Knowledge of data management, governance, and quality assurance practices.
• Proactive, positive attitude, with willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
• Effective inter‑personal and negotiating skills.
• Excellent decision making and problem‑solving ability.
• Knowledge of Wealth Management and related business flows and project delivery experience will be an advantage.
