Job Summary

You will lead technical and site management activities to ensure construction projects meet specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and timely project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed 3D models using BIM software to support project design and execution
• Prepare and propose material samples aligned with project specifications to facilitate client approvals
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant to ensure timely availability and compliance
• Develop cost-effective technical solutions to meet project objectives and budget constraints
• Serve as the primary technical adviser on-site, guiding subcontractors, manpower, and operatives to achieve quality and safety standards
• Produce and revise AutoCAD/BIM site drawings to secure client approvals and support installation activities
• Conduct site surveys to assist in accurate setting out and levelling for installation purposes
• Verify plans, drawings, and quantities for calculation accuracy to ensure precise project execution
• Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents provided by clients or architects to maintain alignment with project requirements
• Coordinate with consultants, PE engineers, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and workforce to facilitate necessary submissions and project progress
• Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance with construction regulations and by-laws relevant to the project
• Engage with clients and their representatives through regular meetings to communicate project status and address concerns
• Direct day-to-day site management, supervising labor force and subcontractor activities to maintain productivity and quality
• Generate site cutting lists to support procurement and fabrication processes
• Finalize as-built drawings in collaboration with quantity surveyors for accurate final claims
• Prepare detailed reports as required to document project progress and issues
• Identify and resolve unexpected technical difficulties and problems to minimize project delays

Required competencies and certifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) to produce and manage technical drawings and models
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards to ensure compliance and project success
• Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and by-laws to guarantee regulatory adherence
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, and authorities for seamless project delivery
• Competency in interpreting and managing contract design documents to align project execution with contractual obligations
• Skilled in site surveying, setting out, and levelling work to support accurate installation and construction
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address technical challenges effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with clients and project teams
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in calculations and documentation to maintain quality and precision
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to project schedules to ensure timely completion
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and project demands

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry, with prior involvement in MRT or other large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
