Job description
  1. Prepare and Serve Beverages:
    • Brew coffee and espresso drinks to company standards.
    • Prepare specialty drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, etc.).
    • Froth milk to the correct consistency for various beverages.
    • Handle the coffee grinder and brewing equipment to ensure consistency and quality.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
    • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions about the menu, and making recommendations.
  3. Maintain Cleanliness:
    • Clean and maintain the coffee bar, espresso machines, grinders, and surrounding areas.
    • Wash cups, utensils, and other equipment as necessary.
    • Ensure that the café environment is welcoming, organized, and safe for customers.
  4. Stocking and Inventory Management:
    • Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.
    • Replenish stock and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low.
    • Ensure that ingredients and equipment are properly stored and in good working order.
  5. Multitask and Work in a Fast-Paced Environment:
    • Handle multiple drink orders simultaneously, especially during peak hours.
    • Work efficiently with the team to maintain a smooth workflow.
  6. Follow Safety and Health Regulations:
    • Adhere to food safety standards, hygiene practices, and café policies.
    • Ensure all drinks and food are prepared following health guidelines.
  7. Team Collaboration:
    • Work as part of a team to ensure smooth café operations.
    • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Fast-paced work environment with occasional pressure during busy hours.
  • Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
