Position Summary

As a B1 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer at Jet Aviation you will be working as part of a dedicated maintenance team and will be responsible for successfully carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks on an aircraft in accordance with Jet Aviation procedures and aviation regulations. You will be operating under the Jet Aviation Part 145 approval, the Jet Aviation Health and Safety policy, customer requests and other airworthiness requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform un-scheduled & scheduled maintenance tasks: responsible for performing scheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft as per the manufacturer's guidelines, MOE and maintenance schedule in line with regulatory requirements. This includes inspecting, repairing, and replacing parts, systems, and components. Proficient in using tools and equipment for this purpose.
  • Execute and oversee aircraft inspections, modifications, maintenance tasks, and repairs within license scope.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues: apply strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with aircraft systems and components. Perform tests, use diagnostic equipment, and analyse data to identify root causes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements: ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements including airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other maintenance requirements; stay up-to-date with latest standards.
  • Maintain accurate records: maintain records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, work performed, and parts used using computerised maintenance management systems.
  • Communicate with other maintenance personnel, pilots, and management to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operation; explain technical issues clearly and work collaboratively to resolve problems.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with safety regulations and policies; ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and work areas are hazard-free.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other maintenance personnel; explain complex concepts in simple terms and share best practices for aircraft maintenance.
  • Ensure safety and product quality at all times.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of work executed on the aircraft.
  • If needed, execute and oversee off-base aircraft projects without local supervision.
  • Support Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors in coordinating with and functionally overseeing Technicians to execute tasks.
  • Other duties as required to ensure operating and business success.
Minimum Requirements
  • Mechanical/technical apprenticeship (preferably in aviation or related field)
  • Valid B1 license holder without limitation (preferably CAAS, EASA or FAA A&P)
  • A minimum of one business-relevant Aircraft type rating (as requested by the business and authorized by Quality/Safety & EHS function)
  • Experience in using SAP ERP or equivalent
  • Intermediate level English, min. B2 level/ able to communicate, read and understand maintenance tasks in English manuals
  • Additional specific knowledge, skills, abilities & other characteristics as required in the MOE
  • Strong communication skills to exchange technical information
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage priorities of the job

Work Environment

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
