Job Description

Business Function

Group Finance aims to deliver world‑class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions – whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. The bank is also a certified Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for the Singapore Qualification Programme by the Singapore Accountancy Commission and an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Approved Employer.

Responsibilities

To work closely with senior strategists and cross‑functional teams with a focus on the macroeconomic and geopolitical trends impacting the banking industry, harmonise the balance sheet and capital response, and together with GPU, drive alignment with the business units to achieve the bank’s objectives.

• Market Research & Analysis : Assist in macro research for selected developed/emerging markets to help formulate group views on financial market. Analyse macroeconomic, geopolitical, and regulatory developments impacting the bank’s growth aspirations and operations.
• Financial Analysis & Modelling : Perform financial modelling and scenario planning over longer term horizon, evaluating the impact of strategies and macro developments on the bank’s key financial metrics, balance sheet shape and capital responses. Analyse key financial performance metrics and compare against competitors.
• Strategic Planning Support : Assist in formulating the bank’s short‑ and long‑term strategies at the Group level. Support the preparation and development of business cases and presentations for board meetings, senior management and stakeholders. Track execution progress against strategic objectives.
• Collaboration Across Teams : Engage a wide range of internal and external stakeholds across business units and geographies to align on strategic initiatives.
• Project Management : Assist in managing projects related to strategy execution. Ensure timely execution and delivery of key milestones within assigned initiatives.

Requirements

• Good advanced degree with 3 to 5 years of multi-disciplinary experience in Strategy Consulting / Management Consulting / Strategy & Planning roles.
• Proactive team player with ability to communicate with all levels of seniority in the bank. Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders and teams, in areas of responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas concisely.
• Demonstrates strong business acumen, problem‑solving and analytics skills with attention to details.
• Self‑starter with exceptionally high levels of energy, commitment and focus. Ability to work with ambiguity and leverages on knowledge and experience to adjust and adapt as situations / work evolves.
• Excellent in crafting decks, memos, business cases for senior management.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experiences in data platform/languages such as Tableau, Python will be plus points.
