Job summary

A community-focused church in Singapore is seeking an AVLB Officer responsible for maintaining and operating audio and visual equipment. This role involves scheduling maintenance, recruiting and training volunteers, and providing support for events. Candidates should have at least an ‘O’ level qualification and a strong technical aptitude. Preference will be given to those with experience in audio production, sound engineering, or relevant AV roles. Weekend work is required.

  • Candidates familiar with AV equipment but without formal experience may also be considered.

AVLB Officer - Job Scope

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Audio, Visual, lighting and Broadcast (AVLB) equipment, stage equipment and musical instruments in all the AVLB-involved locations.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance for AVLB equipment.
  • Recruit, train and schedule manpower for AVLB ministries and update any related rosters.
  • Handle the purchase and sale of any AVLB equipment, upon instruction and approval given.
  • Maintain and update the AVLB inventory list.
  • Provide AVLB support (Role: AVLB equipment operator or support) for offsite events such as Christmas@Kovan, family camps and other events when required.
  • Setup and dismantle the auditorium stage(s) as required.
  • Provide technical support (Role: Grip) for creative arts projects such as video productions or photoshoots.
  • Audio post-production for any creative arts projects.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned by the Senior Pastor or his designate.

Requirements:

Minimum “O” level qualification or equivalent. Relevant working experience in audio production, sound engineering, or AV equipment repairs is preferred. Candidates with no formal work experience but who are familiar with AV equipment, have served in an AV ministry in a church environment or participated in school AV CCAs will also be considered. Strong technical aptitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team. Able to work on weekends.
