Job summary

A leading human resources firm in Singapore is seeking a talented individual to design and implement Siemens PLC solutions for Building Management Systems (BMS) in the life sciences sector. The role requires a Diploma or Degree in relevant engineering fields along with 3-8 years of experience. You will work on control strategies, commissioning, and compliance with GMP and GAMP standards, contributing to critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in pharma or life sciences.
• Experience in commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Knowledge of GAMP and cGMP compliance.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement Siemens PLC solutions (S7, PCS 7, TIA Portal) for BMS applications
• Develop and support control strategies for HVAC, cleanroom environments, utility systems, and critical infrastructure
• Support commissioning, loop checks, and field validation of automation systems
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11 standards for automation systems
• Troubleshoot PLC/HMI/BMS control issues, alarms, and operational deviations
• Work with cross-functional teams (QA, CQV, MEP, facilities) during project execution
• Contribute to system documentation including URS, FDS, SDS, IQ/OQ, and Change Control
• Provide support for system lifecycle management, upgrades, and performance improvements

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
• 3–8 years of experience with Siemens PLC platforms (S7, PCS7, TIA Portal) in pharma or life sciences
• Hands-on experience with HVAC/BMS controls, alarms, and critical utility automation
• Good understanding of control systems, field instrumentation, and cleanroom controls
• Experience in commissioning and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
• Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation skills
• Knowledge of GAMP, cGMP, and computerized systems compliance
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens Desigo CC, Synco, PXC controllers)
• Familiarity with SCADA, OPC, Modbus/BACnet protocols
• Validation or CSV knowledge in regulated environments
• Experience in energy optimization and facility automation
