Job Responsibilities

Design & Drafting

• Prepare accurate 2D/3D drawings, layout plans, and fabrication/shop drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD tools
• Interpret engineering requirements and client specifications into technical drawings
• Ensure drawings meet industry standards, safety guidelines, and project specifications
• Update, revise, and maintain drawings based on engineering changes or site conditions

Project Coordination

• Liaise with sales, engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure design accuracy
• Attend project meetings and track technical action items
• Coordinate with suppliers/contractors to confirm dimensions, installation requirements, and material details

Technical Support

• Provide drafting support during planning, installation, and commissioning
• Conduct site measurements and verify actual site conditions
• Highlight technical issues and propose workable design solutions

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and submission documents
• Assist in preparing method statements, proposals, and material approval paperwork
• Ensure quality checks and compliance with ISO/project QA standards

Continuous Improvement

• Recommend enhancements to drafting standards and workflows
• Keep updated with new CAD tools and industry best practices

Job Requirements

• Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Drafting, or related field
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Comfortable attending site visits with manager or senior staff
• Relevant experience (internship or 1–2 years) will be an advantage
