Overview
REPORTS TO: IT Manager
JOB GOAL: Responsible for the administration and hardware lifecycle management of school Audio-Visual devices. This role focuses on the AV operations, broadcasting, and recordings of school events/functions, and ensures digital display continuity school-wide. Serves as the primary point of contact for projectors, digital signages, and printers. In collaboration with the IT Specialist, the role also covers daily technology operations, printing, and helpdesk service requests.
AV Service Management
- Overall AV management includes video, sound, lighting systems, digital displays for classroom and common devices: configure, monitor, and maintain the performance and integrity of the AV infrastructures
- Administer procurement, deployment, and decommissioning of AV equipment and software
- Vendor management: manage relationships for support escalation and timely implementation of upgrades
- Cross-train teammates to promote user support continuity
- Develop SOPs, problem-solving guides, and user training programs as needed
- Provide proactive daily operational support by efficiently troubleshooting user issues and ensuring timely ticket resolution, minimizing disruption and maximizing user productivity
Printer Service Management
- Management of printing devices and services to ensure they are fully operational
- Manage user administration on the print server in line with the employee onboarding and offboarding process
- Ensure that the implementation of the printing quota is closely monitored to minimize both printing and administrative costs
- Maintain printer raw inventory (paper, toners, and ink) according to daily operational requirements
- Identify and resolve printer issues and escalate to vendors as appropriate
Event Management
- Meet with event coordinator and stakeholders to understand their objectives and AV requirements
- Recommend appropriate AV solutions, equipment and configurations based on the requirement
- Oversee AV technical setup and operation, configuring, testing, managing audio levels, video feeds, lighting cues
- Manage event live-streaming and video recording
Endpoint Device Management
- Provisioning and deployment of endpoint devices
- Maintain assets inventory of all managed devices
- Perform troubleshooting on device-related issues
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, guidelines, and operation standards
- Develop SOPs, problem-solving guides, and user training programs as needed
Communication & Professional Development
- Identify issues within your areas of responsibility and ensure that those issues are understood by management, regularly update your supervisor on your plans and status
- Regularly meet with other members of the IT and other stakeholders to develop plans and review status
- With your supervisor, develop and implement a professional development plan that will continue to build your technical skills, knowledge base, and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree/work experience in AV systems
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly desirable
- Interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well in a team and ability to work under deadlines and constraints
- Able to self-manage, multi-task, commit, and be customer-centric
- Minimum of 4 years experience and demonstrated proficiency in providing end-user and AV support
