Job description

As a Senior Modelling Engineer of ATCSP at Micron Technology, Inc., you’re a key member of a team responsible for modeling backend capacity for our business plans and scenarios. You will get exposure to our product life cycle management process at Micron where products move from conceptual to high volume manufacturing. You will be responsible for optimizing product loading across our global backend network. You will also be working extensively with a standardized capacity model called CSM which has been adopted by all manufacturing sites.

You’ll interact and network with diverse groups such as Supply Chain NPO, Engineering, Central Planning, Finance, Site IE and ATCP Factory Network Team to align on strategy and capacity across our backend manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
Manage Capacity Supermodel (CSM)
  • Drive global alignment on Capacity Supermodel (CSM) functionality improvements
  • Drive accuracy in model across backend network
  • Perform analysis to verify model accuracy
  • Oversees audit and maintenance of data input in model periodically
  • Create/map RDMs from lists sent out weekly by the Data Management Specialist teams
Reflect New TOR in CSM for QSR
  • ATCSP Modelling NUDD team ensure that site IEs capture correct workstation, process steps, EPT, overhead and TOR (tool of record) for NPI devices during modelled at the right model.
  • To lead on quarterly MOR modeling and alignment with TSE/PDE engineering and site IE teams on capacity modeling assumptions
Capacity Assessment Request (CAR) Backend Scenario
  • We audit CSM for known model change input from PDE /TSE with signal from CAR/CCB/ BECL from assembly, test and module.
  • We help sites IE that reach out to engineering team to troubleshoot and work with SPM on site capacity issues related to CSM setup/ util report error.
  • We collaborate with Site IE /TSE/PDE/ATCP to sync network capacity strategy by integrating FOAK tools for engineering and HVM.
  • We provide capacity and tooling cost insight for TSE/PDE for backend scenario.
  • Drive global alignment on Capacity Supermodel (CSM) functionality improvements
  • Drive accuracy and align standard in model EPT/utilization across backend network
NUDD Contingency List Planning on MOR and CCB changes
  • We work with engineering partner on capacity modeling on NUDD demand signal from PLM Go/ CAR/BECL.
  • We guide Site IE to create and reflect NUDD capacity response from backend demand signal in CSM.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, or Operations Management
  • 2+ years’ experience either in business operations, data science, finance, manufacturing, or supply chain
  • Detailed oriented
