The Diagnostics Development Hub (DxD Hub) is Singapore's national platform that enables efficient and effective productization of fit‑for‑purpose In‑Vitro Diagnostics and Digital Health solution for health and economic impact. DxD Hub has cross‑cutting, multidisciplinary diagnostics product development capabilities that spans across Molecular Diagnostics, Proteomics, Digital Health and Integrated Point‑of‑Care diagnostics. We work with public and private partners, supporting the transformation of the Medtech landscape in Singapore through innovative solutions.

This opening is for a role as an Assistant Manager / Manager in DxD Hub's Programme Office, which oversees early‑stage (TRL 2 to 3) needs‑driven innovation projects positioned for commercial uptake in Diagnostics & Digital Health.

Job Description
End-to-End Grant Administration
  • Organize and administer the full grant lifecycle, from pre‑to post‑award, including due diligence, processing and review of applications, coordinating evaluation panels, preparing and processing grant awards, disbursements, and variations in line with approved budgets, milestones, and A*STAR grant governance policies.
Project Oversight and Governance
  • Provide oversight and management of funded projects, including monitoring submissions, variation requests, and assessing eligibility based on grant guidelines. Assist in resolving operational issues and challenges related to project execution.
  • Drive end‑to‑end project management for assigned programmes, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against milestones. Ensure timely delivery of outputs and adherence to governance and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as liaison between HQ A*STAR, research teams, host institutions, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment of objectives.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
  • Develop and deliver accurate operational reports and dashboards to the Programme Lead, including monthly performance metrics and compliance tracking.
Process Improvement
  • Support amendments to internal operational processes for efficiency and alignment with A*STAR best practices, including digitalization and automation initiatives.
Secretariat Duties
  • Perform secretariat functions for funding initiatives, including organizing grant calls, convening evaluation panels, and managing stakeholder engagement activities.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in life science, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in grant administration will be an advantage.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Able to work in cross functional teams.
  • Able to work outside of organizational boundaries to engage external stakeholders as necessary. Able to identify and contextualise stakeholder issues.
  • Well‑organized, able to manage time and prioritize assigned tasks to deliver results under tight timelines.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self‑starter who is pro‑active, quality conscious and results oriented.
  • Willingness to learn, with adaptability and flexibility to take on required/necessary tasks beyond the job description.
